Some people may believe that the perfect romantic partner is going to be like the dynamic they have with their best friend — someone who knows them inside and out. I truly believed it for so long and acted with assertiveness when doing the transition from friendship into partnership, but uncertainty sometimes doesn’t come with a questionnaire to fill.

Everybody wants somebody who supports them no matter what, and who they share a strong emotional connection with. However, before you take a decision to leap into a romantic relationship with your best friend, it’s important to consider the potential consequences.
